If so, I would like to hear how it works for you. I wonder how the strength compare with this one, being sold over the counter or how it might differ from some bought from companies off the internet?
I use the Purple edition paste which contains I would recommend the Purple edition paste for reasons given above. I mix it with a little hemp oil to aid ingestion. Not sure what quantity to order. No idea of dosage and how long this might last.
A bit reluctant to buy a larger amount in case I don't find it beneficial. Can I ask what size you buy and how long this lasts you please? I take three doses a day; each dose is about 1cm in length.
I can see why you might wish to try the smaller size but the postage will be expensive by comparison. Thank you very much Alun. That's given me some idea of how much to order and how long I might expect it to last.
I think I'll place an order this evening. I I am inclined to agree with this. These products all range in strain and strength but I have not found anything that sufficiently compares to actual cannabis.
Hi Tracey, how do you take cannabis it's self. Do you get it legally? I don't like to smoke but I do vape. Is it possible to get it in oil to vape? Hi Ella, no I'm afraid mine is illegal. I do take it another way, not smoked though. Thanks Tracey, I will try and grind it down but what does he infuse with? Is it weed or solid? Sorry about all the questions. Pain consultant has put me forward for spinal nerve stimulator, it's very invasive though, would rather the 'herbal' remedy any day, just a shame we are made to feel like criminals, the effects it provides far out ways the threat of prosecution though.
Not for everyone granted, but works for me xx. I must have put in hundreds of online hours now, researching the whole subject and weighing up the pros and cons. You go round in circles a bit but ultimately, with things as they are, I've decided it is what I want to try next.. I'm in a power chair all the time now, except for standing to transfer to stairlift etc. Without that ability to stand.. So I hope that this tells you that I am serious about trying some form of the plant. Like the other lady, I'd prefer not to have to smoke it..
I don't think It'd feel right having a joint in one hand and an inhaler in the other! The food ways look good but really complicated! To make butter it seemed like a five hour job, with lots of specialised equipment.
To be honest, someone has donated an amount of the relevant stuff, but when you read too much! Any advice would be most welcome. Best wishes, chris x. Bolan I am pretty much like you, although I can stand a short time to relieve the pain through sitting, bloody vicious circle isn't it?! I have gone round the houses, so to speak, incase I am edited! I am very lucky in the fact I have my 'products' made for me. I also vape it, but somehow with you using an inhaler it might not be practical.
I don't use resin, you really don't know what's in it. Mine is green, proper plant green, with the stalks!!! Get the 'green' variety, you could try a vape, without the nictotine in it?
Thanks Tracey, it definitely helps. I have trouble summarising, as you can probably tell! I came out of hospital but was rushed back in twice over the next few weeks struggling to breathe. Months later, following basic breathing tests at home, they diagnosed early onset copd.
Once everything had settled down, I did used to wonder if they'd got that wrong, as I didn't feel as though I had a major breathing issue. Anyway I stopped smoking and probably used the inhaler too much, as though I'd get some sort of buzz from it I think!
At least the tests began in earnest because of all that nonsense, with mri scans etc. I'll bet you've got a similar story? I do get breathing troubles now, but it's mainly due to panic, and is exacerbated by the ms - usually at night when need to pee quickly But as you say, that could be mixed with other stuff. When you say you have yours ground, is it dried then first?
Hi Chris, the effect is pretty instant to be honest!! Not like waiting for the prescription drugs to kick in, it's almost immediate. It needs to be dry to be ground. Don't worry about talking about anything on here Chris, you will find everyone will be open about everything! My MS has been more of a slow decline really, RRMS at 1st, now SPMS, it's the bloody nerve pains that have been the most disabling to be honest, can cope with the other things but not this.
Son in law devised this method of taking cannabis, very effective! Anything else you need to know Chris, fire away!! Thanks Tracey, I think that's just it I've got nothing against them, but they just don't seem to cut the mustard! I never take high doses, although I would have I'm sure, if they'd shown any signs they were going to work. Sometimes it actually seems as though they make things worse They all make you tired I'm sure, so they ought to prescribe something like cannabis I think what you're taking now, is about what I'll be hoping to try.
I don't think the 'vaping' would be a problem. Either that method, or the edibles! Savinex isn't half as good as the real thing Chris, no where near. Do it yourself hun, if you need anymore advice, pm me, nowt I haven't tried, things you do in pain eh?!!!!!!!! Interesting reading about Sativex on the MS Society website. These applications may be turned down. Faced with these barriers some people with MS buy cannabis illegally.
I was wondering about that Tracey I'm in the midlands! Aint nothin like the real thing - hopefully that's true! I've not read many reports saying Sativex is the answer - more that it slightly eases pain and spasticity. That's fair enough, but I like that you say yours is pretty much instant Tracey! I'll do a pm over the next few days, if that's ok?.
I'm finding rrms quite fascinating to learn about I'm confused as to whether rrms, can progress to spms, and then eventually to ppms? Could I ask, how you have found Sativex over those five years?
And l am PPMS. Which means that my MS has always been with me since it started 35yrs ago. Some people have only one 'attack' of MS - then might never have another relapse. My GP told me this is why doctors often do not want to tell their patient they have MS - in the hopes it might not rear it's ugly head again - and the stress and anxiety from knowing you have MS could make it worse. And most of us suffer with other problems that are auto-immune. Have been looking at ordering some 'hemp tea' - again legal.
Both of these meds had me unable to stand - could not function at all. Certainly not drive a car. In addition, there seems to be a hyperbaric effect caused by the neuropathy. So, whenever a storm is coming in, the drop in the barometric pressure causes her ankles to swell. The poly neuropathy is extremely painful—and nothing works.
Not opiates, TMS, various lidocaine creams, lamictal, no anti-depressant and so on. The pain is excruciating, and she cannot lie flat in a bed. There is a small possibility that the surgery, if it could stop the seizures would obviate the need for the anti-seizure meds that caused the polyneuropathy in the first place. Ideally, the strain should address, first, the severe pain, second, the anxiety and depression, as well as third, anti-seizure activity.
Can you recommend a strain that might help her? The pain is the most important symptom to be addressed. CBD is also wonderful for anxiety for a number of different reasons as you can check out in this piece: Pain and depression on the other hand require a different cannabis treatment, which include strains that are either moderately, or quite high in THC, to stains that have both THC and CBD in substantial amounts.
Check out these articles for more info: The thing that needs to be considered for the depression and pain treatment is that the strains that have very high THC levels can induce both anxiety and munchies to some degree, so choosing the ones that have both of the cannabinoids is a far better choice for your friend. Luckily our understanding of this majestic plant and all the science that goes with it is better than ever, and the stigma associated with irresponsible cannabis consummation will soon become a thing of the past.
Thank you for info, need to know if it will help with short term memory loss due to concussion. I have mild aspergers, looking at me and day to day no one notices they are shocked when I tell them but I feel different and I feel like my brain processes things different.
I really hope to find a strain that will reduce my anxiety and also give me energy for the day. I would suggest any strain that high in CBD, because this cannabinoid is proven to diminish anxiety.
Also, you should focus on Indicas or Indica-dominant hybrids, because Sativa strains tend to be more energetic and much less relaxing and calming than Indicas. With that said I have concerns with an elderly folk with heart disease, gout, arthritis, fibromyalgia, high blood pressure, blindness, etc… I guess you can say all over inflammation to sum it up? They are taking a hand full of medications. I see the benefits of some of these strains that may help them. My concern is if it is safe for the elderly and which strains do I need to be aware of that would result in adverse effects with certain medications?
Also when is best to take CBD oil? I know this is a medical question and you may not be able to answer this — with that said would you point me to information online that I can research further? Many thanks for any information you can provide! We should be covering this correlation in great depth very soon, but for now I suggest to avoid consuming cannabis both THC and CBD with medications that contain: Also, cannabis use should be avoided when using: What would you suggest for someone with arthritis..
Hi Cathail, you should definitely check out our strain finding tool https: I would also suggest topicals that have a similar concentration of cannabinoids like the six strains listed for this condition, and apply the cream directly on the affected areas. For skin cancer I would suggest that you read our article on Rick Simpson Oil https: For stomach issues, headaches and insomnia I suggest your try our strain finder tool https: There you can choose the condition you want to treat, and our algorithm will show you the best possible strains currently available on the Canadian market.
Thank you I wanted to ask a question. I see hemp CBD stores with different blends to smoke where they give each type a different effect Anti depressant Makes you sleepy Anti inflammatory Relaxation and so on…. Is that a gimmick or are there different strains of hemp that have different effects?
Is there some where I can read about this? The thing that differentiates these strains is the quantity and ratio of specific cannabinoids, and terpenes which are responsible for the flavor and aroma of a strain, but also add to the therapeutic effect.
We have a ton of articles that deal with this topic, please check out our health section https: Not many CBD strains help with fatigue, which I have in spades from many concussions. Everyone of those felt off and induced more fatigue with Charlottes Web being the best of them. I tracked a couple CBD strains down that Leafly ratings are good for fatigue. Now the next problem is where to find them. If you live in Canada you can use our tool for finding strains to find something similar at least — https: I agree with Luka, for fatigue that is caused by concussions you are better off using cannabis varieties that are high in THC and low in CBD.
Hello…I suffer from Severe Panic Attacks, so I am looking for a stain that will help relieve them and make me more calm and at peace…. Try using this Joe — https: Why avoid mixing with benzodiazepines and buprenorphine? I take xanax and subutex I have been taking cbd gummies here and there for 3 days and just got medical cbd 2: Have not yet taken it but hoping it helps I have tmj very bad and have headaches every day almost all.
